Endeavour Cottage can be found in a very convenient location. It is on a quiet street just off one of Whitby’s main shopping streets on the West Cliff side of town with a great selection of independent shops, cafes, restaurants and bars just around the corner. And it’s just a short stroll to the fantastic views from the harbour and beach. Add to that a dedicated parking space and your holiday is off to a great start!
Once inside you’ll find this charming fisherman’s style cottage has the benefit of modern day living with an open plan living space with a private patio with bespoke bench seating on the lower patio and a table and chairs on the upper patio. Stylishly decorated with quality fixtures and fittings, this three-bedroom-cottage is very much a home from home. The open-plan layout is perfect for extended families enabling all to be in the same room while enjoying different activities be it watching TV, playing a board game using games from the storage cupboard provided, or cooking. The living area is equipped with an electric wood burning stove effect fire for cosying up in front of on chillier nights. There heating is operated by Hive. The space opens out into the dining area which comfortably seats six. The newly fitted kitchen (January 2025) is well-equipped with shaker-style units, breakfast bar and everything you need to whip up a holiday feast. Relax after a long day’s sightseeing with a barista style coffee using the Lavazza coffee machine.
On the top floor of this three-storey house you will find the master bedroom with king-size bed; the en-suite bathroom has a twin-headed rainforest shower. On the first floor there are two further bedrooms, the twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom is at the front of the property and a smaller bedroom with a double bed overlooking the private patio. Adjoining the double bedroom is the main bathroom with electric shower over the bath. The lower patio is equipped with bespoke outdoor seating and dining table. It’s also perfect for al fresco dining when you want to escape from the crowds.
Endeavour Cottage is minutes away from the harbour and cobbled streets lined with antique, curiosity shops, café bars and restaurants. There are also museums, art galleries, designer clothes and homeware shops and a cliff-top golf course to enjoy, as well as ghost walks, galleries, museums, and a stunning harbour to stroll around. Climb the 199 steps to Whitby’s famous abbey, the inspiration behind Bram Stoker’s ’Dracula’, and admire the spectacular views over the town and harbour. With many festivals held in the town throughout the year, there really is something for everyone.
