The property has three bedrooms and two family bathrooms on the ground floor together with the kitchen and dining area, ideal for those with limited mobility who may struggle to climb the stairs. On the first floor are two further bedrooms and a family bathroom with a large living area with uninterrupted views of The Helford. The beautiful back garden will be enjoyed by everyone, private and overlooking fields with established shrubs it is a lovely area to sit with morning coffee, have al fresco dining or watch the beautiful sunsets and night skies. This is the area that Daphne du Maurier used as a location for her books, as you wander around you can understand why she chose such a serene location.
Mancaccan is 1.7 miles away where you will find the local shop and two pubs if you don’t fancy cooking look up their menus. Whilst you are here it is a good idea to venture a little further where you will discover many picturesque fishing villages including Cadgwith Cove, Kynance Cove, Coverack and Mullion. Designated as an Area of Outstanding Beauty most of the land is owned by the National Trust, you are within easy access to miles of southwest coastal paths for you to explore and admire the scenery. The busy harbour town of Falmouth is within a 30-minute drive and has an abundance of shops and restaurants, and events are held throughout the year including Falmouth Week, many international sailing events, and the famous Oyster Festival.
Marina’s and small ferry services operate to Flushing and nearby St Mawes, plus regular day and evening cruises are available along the River Helford. This area is popular with sailing enthusiasts, walkers, and nature lovers. For garden lovers, a day at one of the famous sub-tropical gardens at Trebah, Glendurgan and Telissike is a must where you can buy local specimens to take home.
