Situated within Dartmoor National Park, Woodside is surrounded by a beautiful 12-acre ancient woodland, complete with a stream and an abundance of wildlife. Woodside is ideal for either couples or single travellers and perfectly placed for guests to explore the beautiful countryside for which Dartmoor National Park is renowned.
From its own private parking, Woodside is accessed down 6 granite steps which lead to a welcoming private gravelled courtyard - perfect in which to sit and relax in the warm summer months. The front door leads into an open plan kitchen, diner and sitting room and the well-equipped kitchen has all the amenities you will need for your stay. French doors lead out onto a veranda, which catches the afternoon sun, with spectacular views across the garden and the surrounding countryside. The cosy bedroom has a comfortable king-sized bed whilst the bathroom has a bath and separate shower.
Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead as there are other dogs on the premises but also, there is an abundance of wildlife in the surrounding woods and the owners are keen to protect their welfare.
Dartmoor National Park, with its wild open moorland and woodlands, is perfect for those who enjoy adventure and outdoor pursuits including walking, horse riding and rock climbing. Two golf courses are located nearby. Dartmoor is also famous for its superb walks, reservoirs, heather-clad moors, tors, Dartmoor ponies and cream teas! Local walks will take you along a bridle path up to Mardon Down, to the riverside walk at Steps Bridge or along lanes to explore the local countryside.
Easy access to Dartmoor (8 miles), the cathedral city of Exeter (10 miles) and the Jurassic Devon coastline (14 miles). Shops and pubs 2 miles (Dunsford) and 4 miles (Moretonhampstead).
