Guests at this lovely Lake District cottage will be delighted with the rural location, and yet can sample the many excellent restaurants and pubs available in nearby Ambleside and Bowness-on-Windermere. With one cosy ground floor king-size double bedroom, this Ambleside cottage offers ideal accommodation for a romantic break in one of the most picturesque parts of the Lake District. There is also a superb shower room and a bright and airy first floor sitting room, which opens onto a lovely Juliette balcony, where you can admire views that stretch across the landscape to Wansfell and the surrounding mountains. Outside this superb Ambleside cottage is a raised patio area tucked at the rear, whilst at the front, there is a small patio, so no matter the time of day you will be able to sit in the sun and enjoy the peaceful location.The surrounding woodland scenery offers plenty of pretty pathways and bridleways to explore. Why not follow the nearby footpath through Cockshot Wood, down to Windermere's lakeshore to catch the ferry at Brockhole? The historic National Trust house of Townend is less than one mile away, a perfect place to wander around on a rainy day, before finishing your day with a delicious meal at one of the excellent country pubs nestled in nearby Troutbeck.
