This converted village school is proudly ranked as 'one of Britain's best-equipped holiday properties for those with mobility issues' in the Yorkshire Post and offers a fantastic and welcoming base for anyone seeking a special getaway close to the coast.
To the ground floor you will find a good size sitting room with comfortable seating, TV with Freeview and a Blu-ray player. The property benefits from underfloor heating throughout – lovely and cosy in the cooler months.
The smart kitchen is well equipped and has a lovely granite worktop to add a touch of luxury. Keep the cook company in the nearby dining area, and enjoy mealtimes seated on one of the renovated pews – a delightful nod to the property's Wesleyan history.
The ground floor has been specially designed for the elderly or those with mobility issues. There is an additional fully-equipped ground floor bedroom with a large en-suite shower room with wet room, basin and WC. Grosmont itself lies in the 'Heartbeat Country' and is famous for being the home of the North York Moors Steam Railway. The Railway has been preserved and run by enthusiasts since 1973 and today carries upwards of 300,000 passengers a year. The village has a general store, post office, book shop, art gallery, cafes and a pub.
