Positive: The staff were extremely friendly, accommodating and helpful. House keeping did a great job with cleaning. Everything from reception, up the stairs to the room felt clean the whole time (even during the rain). Shoe rack downstairs (shoes were not allowed inside). Note, no elevator. Quiet, even though in centre. Perfect location, and very close to the pier. Check-in process was okay, you had to fill out a small form while they put you on the WIFI network - WIFI was strong. Aircon was great, it worked well. Clothing rack/open cupboard in room. Comfortable Bed (but pillows were a bit flat for my liking). Thai TV Channels, and 2 English channels with Thai subtitles. I had a small balcony (for fresh air), and sometimes had cats as visitors. Fresh water, towels and toilet paper were supplied when the room was cleaned. Water pressure in the shower was great - warm water (but it fluctuated while showering). Showerhead was adjustable and removable. The building closes at 7pm, but if you have a room key, you should have a tag to access the building after 7pm - so it's safe. There are also cameras inside the building.

Negative: The room I chose did not have warm water (which I did not know until I wanted to shower), so I had to take a cold shower my first night there. I reported it the next day, they tried to fix it, but said it will take a few days, so they moved me to a room I did not like (they did sincerely apologise for the inconvenience). The WIFI was a bit annoying, every time I left the hotel and came back, I had to re-log into the WIFI with a username and password - that process was also not easy if you wanted to connect your laptop (I had to google how to do it). TV didnt want to connect to the WIFI. The room and bathroom were very small (of both rooms I saw). Only 2 pillows were supplied, and they were flat. Bedding and specifically towels were old (definitely used a while). There was this horrid smell that came from the drain? i guess, when I opened the shower tap. I could not stand the smell (like rotten egg or something). So i had to let the water run a while with a window open for the smell to disappear, before i could go into the bathroom. The water temperature did not remain the same during the shower (it went cooler and hotter the whole time without turning any knobs). No kettle, no fridge, no hairdryer, no mirror in room (only bathroom). No power sockets next to the bed, no bedside tables (due to the small room). The view of the room were of the building and their rooms (doors) next door. Little natural light, but darker than my liking. The room felt wet/damp and the pillow smelled musty after sleeping on them one night (note, this has not happened to me before). The balcony door does not shut properly, so the door rattles when the wind blows (it males a noise), and thus also letting mosquitoes in. Overall I think they charge too much for what the accommodation offers and for what it is worth.
