Pass the Keys | Vintage-styled sixties apartment, sleeps 4+parking | Apartment in Cambridge

You will enjoy staying in my recently renovated home and it's quirky modern-retro style. Set in a sixties block, the spacious apartment retains period features and communal gardens with plenty of space to unwind after a hard day's sightseeing.

It's in a perfect location for getting to town or the Science Park and close to local shops and restaurants. The city centre is a 1 mile / 25 min walk away or up and coming Mitcham's Corner is even closer, only 12 minutes to local bars and restaurants.

The flat is a large open plan space with lounge, diner and kitchen in one large room with a gorgeous parquet floor, perfect for yoga.

One bedroom overlooks the front garden towards the street and the other looks towards the communal gardens, it is a quiet neighbourhood and you will hear the birds in the morning. I have magic blinds at the windows to provide total privacy in the daytime when the curtains are open and blackout blinds to block out the early morning sun. The mattresses are both memory foam; one firm and the other medium. There are extra pillows and blankets if needed. Bedding is synthetic and non-allergenic.

The lounge area features a sofa and two leather chesterfields. There is a flat-screen with FreeSat and iPlayer and other catch-up stations available. The dining area features a drop-leaf table and chairs. All furniture pieces are vintage.

The kitchen has beautiful solid wood worktops and built in appliances (washer, dishwasher, fridge-freezer) with a double oven and induction stove with a kettle and toaster available too. Please be conscious of waste, the bins are separated into landfill and recycling (which is most things in Cambridge) and there is a counter-top compost bin to collect green waste and food scraps.

The WC and bathroom are separate and I have a sink in the WC to avoid queues for the bathroom, it is eco-friendly as recycles grey water from the washbasin. Both a shower and a bath are available for use and fresh towels are provided, hot water is available 24 hrs a day from the fuel-efficient gas combi-boiler.

If bringing a car, there is space in front of my garage in the shared car park to the rear of the building. There is room for two small vehicles if you park closely. On-street parking is permit only between 9.00 - 3.00 on weekdays and it is monitored.

You will have the whole property to yourselves and can check yourselves in with the lock box.

My management company will be on hand to answer all of your queries and help if needed but will not interfere with your stay.

I am in a small block of sixties-built flats in a pleasant tree-lined road. We have communal gardens you are welcome to sit in but there are many beautiful parks and College gardens in Cambridge to explore. The riverside park, Jesus Green is only 15 minutes walk away and from here you can walk along the river into the historic city centre.

There is a One Stop shop, cash point and local pub two minutes walk away. Ten more minutes walk will take you to-up and-coming Chesterton High Street with banks, excellent pubs and bars (Thirsty, The Waterman, The Portland, The Old Spring) a live music venue, two yoga studios (SatYam and CamYoga), great coffee (Stir, Number 30) and some fantastic international eateries:

- The Waterman - British

It is not easy or cheap to park in town, Cambridge is best explored on foot or by bicycle! OFO and MO-Bikes are in Cambridge or hire one longer term from one of several shops.
There is an open top tour bus that can take you round the main sites and out to the American Cemetary at Madingley. City buses also run round town and quite late into the evening, the Citi 1 stops just round the corner from my place on Carlton Way. We also have UBER and plenty of taxis.
You can also take the train into London in 45 minutes from Cambridge Central or Cambridge North station. Punting down the River Cam is a must-do Cambridge activity too!
There are some lovely walks to be had along the river out to Grantchester or up towards Ely and plenty of other activities to fill your days!

* Standard check-in time is 3pm onwards, and check-out time is before 11am.
* Please note that a fee of £100 will be charged for lost keys--please be careful with them.
* My property is professionally cleaned and is set up to be remote access, ensuring there is no direct contact with anyone needed. The linen and towels are removed from the property after each stay and replaced with freshly laundered supplies. We also provide single-use and individually wrapped items such as shampoo, conditioners and soap.
