This new Home is privately situated in its own large garden on our small farmstead Nr Ripon and is in an AONB, - ' Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty'
The lodge is peacefuliy situated, and quiet. The outlook is just lovely.
. It has its own large private garden although you may have to share it with the odd hen!
The lodge is beautifully furnished, very comfortable, and well appointed.
There is a spacious double bedroom with a 5' bed and single room with a 3' wide bunk beds, so It can accommodate up to 4 guests, although a family of 4 is the ideal.. Fresh quality Bed linen and towels are provided, but if you bring your own I will refund you £10.
There is a TV, free wi-fi, and a dvd. The kitchen is well appointed, with electric cooker and gas hob , fridge, microwave plus storecupboard basics included.
The lounge area is spacious and comfortable with gas central heating and tv. All new and beautifully appointed.
The bathroom is roomy with a good sized shower.
Outside you have your own big and enclosed garden with picnic table and BBQ .
Free Wi Fi is provided and is pretty reliable but we cannot guarantee unbroken access due to the rural location. The mobile phone signal is patchy around the lodge and guests are encouraged to use Wi-Fi calling if they have smart phones.
Buck House is to be found down a pretty farm lane (much frequented by owls at night). It is surrounded by gorgeous countryside and is perfect for walkers. Step outside the loge door and you are straight onto a network of lovely walks.
The lodge is aimed at visitors who love beautiful countryside, peace and quiet and a rural ambience.
Although you are very secluded here, you are within walking distance of the nearest well provisioned village of Kirkby Malzeard which has a great butcher, village shop, church and playground. The market town of Masham 10 minutes away is a gateway to the dales and stunning countryside with lots of really interesting places to visit be it castles or ancient Abbeys like Jervaulx and Fountains Abbey.
Ripon is only about 7 miles away and has good shopping and lots of places to places to eat., plus the famous Cathedral. You will be spoilt for choice for places to visit, even in bad weather!
nb. a child under 3 yrs of age is free of charge. Please let me know if you are bringing a young child. Dont add them when booking or you will be charged a supplement. Own bedding etc for them would be appreciated.
a small well behaved dog is permitted at a small extra daily charge. There is ample kenneling available if you have a bigger dog which can live outside.
NB. We are private hosts on a private property. While we are very happy for guests to entertain family and friends from time to time, we ask that they check with us first and do not abuse the Lodge facilities for the use of unpaid visitors.
The lodge is available for longer term Winter let by arrangement.
