Positive: Location was, as expected, just what we were looking for.

Negative: Poor mattress on super-king bed which was uncomfortable and even aggravated back pain. Although the general cleaning was clearly effective, the radiators in the bedrooms were grubby and the light on the stairs flickered for several minutes when first switched on. The radiator in the bathroom needs bleeding. The curtain hooks need some attention as some are hanging off the rails. However, these things could be put right easily and because the property has so many pluses, it could quickly attain a higher rating.

Summary: We had a lovely time, in spite of these few negative points.
