Within easy reach is Wroxham, known as the capital of the Norfolk Broads, waterside restaurants, shops, daily boat hire and river trips. Market town of Acle, 7 miles away, has cafés, inns, shops and a supermarket. Beccles and Bungay are easily accessed via the chain ferry, which is an adventure in itself! The historic city of Norwich is a 17 mile drive, with a park and ride on this side of the city, or why not let the train ‘take the strain’. There are numerous shopping and entertainment possibilities as well as historic churches and museums. Within a half hour drive there are numerous sandy beaches, either in the town of Great Yarmouth or in the countryside, most of which are dog friendly. The train also runs to Lowestoft regularly.
