Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: It’s set inside a garden by the river, it’s peaceful with lots of birds and butterflies visiting the area. If you’re looking for a quick escape from Chiang Mai, this is the place to go. You can follow the road alongside the river all the way out of the city, lots of farmland and nice scenery along the way. Wiang Tha Kan is close by if you have a scooter, and if you like exploring old ruins, it’s definitely worth visiting.

Negative: Because of the setting as a garden, when we went at the start of the rainy season there were quite a few mosquitoes outside. However the owner’s son was kind enough to organise a mosquito net for us. And as long as we covered up, we were happy sitting outside enjoying the garden.
