Positive: Set near a remote village and last train stop on the Kanchanaburi line, this was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. The owners, Pat, her husband were kind, helpful and unobtrusive. What I liked: #Welcome water in GLASS bottles (reusable, not be contributing to the huge plastic waste problem). # Owners have 16 much loved and well-behaved dogs! They were quiet and never barked, except afew yaps when I first arrived. # Cottage was nestled at the back of the main house, surrounded by a creek and bush land at the foothills of the jungle. # The roosters, the sounds of nature, quiet. #Pat picked me up and dropped me back to the train station and even offered to drop me off at 0500 in the morning, gave me an umbrella to use. # Close walk to the Sai Yok Noi waterfall via road or train track # Hot water in the shower!!

Negative: Nothing! It offered me everything I wanted. Peace, nature, privacy, walks. I only wished i had stayed longer so that I could have tried the therapeutic water bath up further north along the main road. Not a dislike, but reminder to bring enough cash! No ATM, banks or credit card facilities around here.
