Summary: We stayed at the resort for six nights. While the staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and service-minded, we were disappointed that the resort did not meet the standards we would expect from a five-star property. The resort is in need of renovation, particularly the guest rooms. There were small openings in the walls that allowed insects, lizards, and even rats to enter. On our fourth night, we discovered a rat running along the edge of the ceiling inside our room. Although the staff moved us to another room after a few hours, we still heard unusual noises in the ceiling on our last night, which made us uncomfortable. Another disappointment was the lack of ice cream throughout our stay. Despite being a Mövenpick resort, there was no vanilla, strawberry, or chocolate ice cream available during our six-night visit. The beach was also not suitable for swimming, as the water was muddy brown. Fortunately, the swimming pool was beautiful, clean, and well maintained, providing a pleasant alternative. Overall, the excellent service from the staff was the highlight of our stay. However, the condition of the rooms and the maintenance issues meant the resort did not live up to its five-star rating.
